Meet the Team
Meet the people who lead our organization through their expertise, experience, and passion for helping the children, youth, and adults we serve. Our leadership team brings 20+ years of experience serving and working with children, youth, and young adults and adults. Each member of our leadership team also serves as an instructor for our programs.​

President & CEO
​
Dedicated to enhancing the lives of Theresa is committed to providing superior service, ethics, and integrity. While working as a real estate agent for 12 years, a paralegal for 28 years, and church pastor and administrator for 17 years, and now serves as the Founder/CEO of the Emmanuel Resource Center. Theresa’s desire to help people prompted her to start Emmanuel Resource Center aka TheECenter in April 2021.
As a graduate of Trinity Law School, Theresa earned a master’s in legal studies, specializing in Church Management and Nonprofit Law; a B.S., in Real Estate, from Franklin University (Cum Laude), and an Associate Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Legal Assistant Technology from Columbus State Community College.

Theresa has earned the following certificates: Sam Chand Leadership Training and Foundations of Mental Health Coaching from Light University.
Throughout her career and life experiences, she has gained what she needs to run TheECenter. She is passionate about serving the Lord and teaching others about themselves and how to make a positive impact on the world in which they live. These qualities complement the skills TheECenter needs to succeed.

Board Treasurer

Everett is a volunteer & business professional with proven skills in teaching, negotiations, business analysis, team building, budget management, strategy, planning, sales, customer relations, product management, and group leadership.
My volunteer experience is as follows: Emmanuel Resource Center, Board Treasurer from 2023 to Present; Advocates for Educational Equity & Excellence, Data Analyst, 2020 to Present; Kingdom Faith International Christian Center Board of Trustees 2021 to Present; Kingdom Faith International Christian Center, Church Deacon and Teacher, 2016 to Present and 2015 to Present Youth Bible Teacher/Team Leader.
Everett’s educational experience and professional development include a BS, Business Administration Degree from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio; and Rochester Institute of Christian Education.
After a 30-year professional career in business, my ambition turned into a lifelong love of pursuing service and support for those in need. My background provided knowledge, skill, and experience in teaching and counseling people from a spiritual point of view.

TheECenter Board Member Job Description
LEVEL 1 BOARD MEMBER:
Level 1 Board members at TheECenter are expected to attend meetings regularly, actively participate in committee work, support and promote the organization’s mission, and contribute both time and a minimum annual financial gift. They are responsible for being informed and prepared, collaborating with other members, aiding organizational planning and evaluation, engaging in fundraising, and fulfilling fiduciary duties, including reviewing financial statements and assisting with board recruitment.

BOARD MEMBER RECRUITMENT:
Our Objective: To support youth educational growth and enhance family success, ultimately contributing to a vibrant community.

LEVEL 2 BOARD MEMBER:
Level 2 Board members at TheECenter are expected to regularly attend meetings on an every-other-month basis, understand and promote the organization’s mission, participate in committee work as much as possible, and stay informed on board matters. They should build strong relationships with fellow members, contribute to the board’s planning and evaluation, give at least $250 annually, engage in fundraising efforts, and assist with fiduciary responsibilities, such as reviewing finances and recruiting new board members.
